Honors 9- Today we continued our vocab flash fiction projects and we worked on our part two study guides. Here are the definitions for vocab:

Charlatan- a fraud, imposter; a cheat
Vassal- one under protection of a lord who they   have sworn service to
Smite- to strike with a firm blow
Redound- to contribute to a persons credit or   honor
Laurels- an evergreen bush; popular idiom—  ”resting on your laurels” relying on past     accomplishments.
Endow- to provide or give something. Often talent,   money etc.
Maudlin- self pity, tearful sentiment
Epithet- descriptive phrase expressing a quality   characteristic of the person
Candor- open, honest; frankness
Lithe- bending easily, graceful, flexible


English 10- Today we took a quiz over chapter 4 and started reading chapter 5 in Of Mice and Men.
