English 9- Today we took the quiz over chapters 15-17 in TKaM. Remember to keep studying for the vocab quiz next Wednesday. Here are the definitions:
•Hubris- arrogance, extreme pride
•Assiduous- done with constant and
careful attention
•Deleterious- harmful, dangerous
•Demagogue- a rabble-rousing leader
•Ostentatious-someone or something
designed to gain attention. Often in bad taste.
•Prosaic- commonplace, boring
•Sagacity- quality of being wise and
showing good judgment.
•Transient-temporary, fleeting,
always moving
•Hackneyed- cliché, trite sayings
•Enervating- something that drains you of strength or
vitality
English 10- Today I gave a mock presentation to help students understand the expectations of the project presentation. I then gave class time for students to work on their projects. REMINDER: All research projects are due Monday, March 7, 2016.
