English 10- Today students worked on creating their proposals for their multi-genre unit. It is due on Monday. Here are the directions if you need them:
10th Grade Proposal for
Multi-genre project Due Monday May 4, 2015
The purpose
of this proposal is to explain and defend the topic you are choosing for your
multi-genre project. In a few paragraphs, you will need to clearly explain what
your topic is and why you have chosen it. You also need to include how you plan
to complete your research. Consider what the possible research pieces you will
be using? What kind of research will you need to do to complete the assignment?
In addition, you will need to include two of the genres you plan to use. These
don’t have to be final, but they can give me some insight into how to help direct
you. I challenge you to NOT just choose the genres that you think will be
easiest. If you choose a birth certificate because it seems easy, you are
missing the point of the assignment. Defend your genres as to WHY they support
the research behind your topic. Remember, this is the culminating assignment
for the class. Show me what you have
learned as a writer. Take some risks and do your best!
