English 9- Today we discussed the ending to Anthem. I also handed out an outline for the Type 3 writing prompt that is due Wednesday. If you didn't get the outline, please let me know so I can get you one. Here is the prompt for the Type 3 that is due Friday:

Develop and explain a theme that captures the central idea from Anthem. Then, connect this theme to the author’s purpose for writing this text.

English 10- Today we concluded reading The Lord of the Flies. I will be assigning the final writing project for this tomorrow.  Here is the prompt if you want to think ahead:

Prompt: Identify and analyze a conflict from The Lord of the Flies. Then, connect that type of conflict to a theme in the story. Basically, how did a conflict make a theme emerge from the story.
