Honors 9- Today we finished discussing Part One of The Odyssey. I then introduced the theme writing assignment for part one. Here are the directions if you did not get them:

For Part One, choose one topic that you want to develop as a theme. You will then write a Type 3 (roughly 3 paragraphs) developing and explaining the theme you identified.

Type 3 FCA’s

1.Topic is fully developed into a clear theme

2.Three quotes from the text to support your thinking

3.Step by step organization

English 10- Today we finished looking at chapter 2 and made predictions about Of Mice and Men. We then started reading along to chapter 3.

Honors 9- Today we completed vocab quiz #13. Then we read 904-920 In The Odyssey.


English 10- Today we completed chapter two in OMM and worked on completing the guiding questions.

After you have read through Act One Scene Three, watch the following video clips:

Honors 9- Today we studied for the vocab quiz tomorrow and we completed a practice pop quiz over book one of The Odyssey. Remember, vocab quiz tomorrow! Keep in mind, the sentence frames are not like the warm-ups! You need to truly understand the words.

English 10- Today we finished reading chapter one and moved on to chapter two. Here are the guiding questions for chapter two:
