Honors English 10: Today we finished Act one in Fences. 


English 10: Today we started reading and annotating the Diane Burns poem "Sure, you can ask me a personal question."

HOMEWORK: finish annotating the poem. Also start studying vocab list #1 for quarter 4. Here are the first 5 words:


1. abhor/abhorrence:  hatred, disgust
2. burgeon:  to grow, flourish
3. congenial:  pleasant, agreeable
4. destitute:  poor, in extreme poverty
5. elucidate:  to make clear, explain
